01) What is Young Presbyopia...?

 

People normally understand Presbyopia as a symtom that happens in age of 40's.

But recently, Presbyopia is increasing in 20's and 30's as well.

 

If these following symptoms are happening to you, we suggest you to suspect if you have presbyopia.

Firstly, feeling one's eyes very dimmed and tired due to spending most of times

looking something very closely and secondly having trouble with focusing eye sights with short and long distances.

 

The cause of this problem is our contemporaries life patterns.

Especially long time use of smart phones, using computers, and focusing closely in cars would be the major cause of presbyopia.

Your eyes are mostly influenced by the environment and one's stress.

You MUST specially take care of your eyes as it's most fast aging body organs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

02) Prevention

  

 To prevent the symptom, rather than looking personal mobile phones closely,
have a break for 1~3 minutes while
looking long distance after you using it for 3~40 minutes.

Also, if you look into something very closely and focused, the number of blinking eyes decrease that affects your eye surface to be dried.
Therefore, it is essential to blink eyes consciously !!

You can just take a break by closing eyes if looking distance is not suitable for you.
Also we recommend for you to keep about 50~70cm distance
away from the screen while using computer.

Try to avoid staring at screen lights or phones at a dimmed places as it tire eyes out.
Always make sure the brightness of the room to secure your eye health.

03) Helpful foods for your eye health

 

 

 

[Carrot]

 

Carrot is one of the representative vegetable that brightens the eyes.
It helps to remove harmful oxygen that kills retina cells

which can prevent presbyopia
and strengthen the level of immunity.

 

 

 

 

[Cassia tora tea]

It helps your eye tiredness and it prevents night blindness.

has unveiled its successful report based on the cleaning capability (Soft,Color,Cirlce, etc)

that was been test from Optometry Dept, EULJI UNIVERSITY in 2010 October.

  

Followed by the Soft lens cleaning report, MioTTIcA has again requested

for the RGP/Hard contact lens cleaning test

to the EULJI UNIVERSITY in 2012 December.

They have verified the capability of cleaning through utilizing electron microscope.

• Purpose of Test : Verification of  capability to clean lipids on contact lens surfaces by     operation of vibrating  auto cleaner, IPOOL

• Test Period : DEC 10, 2012~DEC 17, 2010 ( 7days) 

Test Specimen

• Lipids: Artificial lipids
• Contact lens Boston XO material RGP (Hard) Contact lens
•  (Reason for use of Boston XO contact lens (stronger lipids adsorption then normal ones, also, This material is most used material of RGP (Lens) in the world)
• Solution of RGP(hard) lens: Boston SIMPLUS
• Experimental equipment : Electron microscope-[S-4700] of Hitachi, Japan

  

Test Method

• Conditions: use of artificial lipids, put on 3 pairs of XO lenses on the shaking condition for 24 hours.
• Put solution and specimen in IPOOL and operate 3 and 5 minutes each to clean.
• Take microphotograph using electron microscope in order for cleaning results of the specimen.

 

 

Test Results

• The longer operation of IPOOL, less lipids found in the contact lens surface.
• As seen on the microscope film, in case of 5 minutes of operation, almost of lipids were cleaned except for Sodium chloride crystals.
• Therefore, normal contact lens user are recommended to operate  3~5 minutes.
• However, previously used RGP(Hard) contact lens has a high possibility of lipids and impurities being settled and solidify.
  Hence, it is predicted that iPOOL should be utilized initially in order to maintain the highest washing capacity.

When you contact lenses are soaked in multi-purpose solution, the lenses DO NOT float on the solution because their surface can be dry and not clean.

In addition, before closing the lids, please make sure that your lenses are soaked in multi-purpose solution(OPTI-FREE and Renu).

Please rinse the contact lens case with multi-purpose solution after using the case and then keep it clean and dry!

Please avoid keeping the lens cases  in some humid places such as bathrooms.
